CetUX
CetUX is a linux distribution targeted for mobile robotics and similar embedded environments.

It is based on the Debian GNU/Linux Sarge distribution. The major difference is that it is capable of running in read-only mode from a USB key or a Compact Flash card which has some great advantages for robotic and embedded applications:
  • The power to the vehicle computer may be turned off without a prior shotdown of the operating system.
  • No harddrive is needed which lowers the cost and makes the vehicle more resistant to vibrations.
  • In a research- or educational environment each user may use his own USB key or Compact Flash card containing a tailored operating system installation.
  • CetUX is based on Debian GNU/Linux which is free software.
CetUX was originally designed and used as vehicle computer operating system for the Hortibot weeding robot. Since then it has undergone several upgrades and it is now being used on different robotic platforms like the Casmobot Lynex and Spider slope mowers.
